Job Title: Access Control Apprentice
Reports To: Franchise Owner/ General Manager
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Access Control Apprentice position is an integral part of FlyLock Security Solutions - South Bend and is key to the growth of the company. All Security Access Control Apprentices must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Access Control Apprentice position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset.
Customer Service:
- Provide a high level of timely & accurate customer service.
- Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.
- Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.
Operations Support:
- Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
- Perform small projects as directed by Management.
- Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.
Must Haves:
- Must have a clear and valid driver’s license.
- Mechanically minded and IT-savvy with.
- Ability to communicate at a high level with customers and management.
- Ability to convey services in writing for both service calls and estimates into report form for invoicing.
- Great work ethic.
- Desire to continually expand the knowledge base in the field.
- 2 years prior Security Solutions and/or Locksmith experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop.
- Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
- Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
- Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
