Aggregate Operator

Position Overview

Via Paving is seeking an experienced Aggregate Operator with a CDL to support site work and paving preparation operations. This role combines equipment operation and material hauling, playing a key part in base preparation, grading, and aggregate placement.

The ideal candidate is versatile, safety focused, and experienced working in fast paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, dozers, or excavators for aggregate and site work
• Haul aggregate and materials to and from job sites using company trucks
• Assist with base installation, grading, and fine grading activities
• Work closely with field leadership to meet production and quality standards
• Perform daily equipment and vehicle inspections
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Follow all company safety policies and job site procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating aggregate or site work equipment
• Strong understanding of base preparation, grading, and compaction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
• Experience on commercial, industrial, or municipal site work projects
• Ability to assist with layout and grade control systems
