Part-Time Custodian (Puuhale and Sand Island)

We are looking for a Custodian to join our team at a warehouse on Oahu! This role entails the cleaning and upkeep of two warehouses located in Puuhale and Sand Island. Key responsibilities include constant walking and standing, moving items efficiently, exhibiting strong communication skills and displaying a solid customer service attitude. While prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or similar fields is advantageous, we are happy to provide training. Applicants should be able to perform basic manual labor, including lifting, pushing, and pulling weights ranging from 30-50 lbs. Applicants should be prepared to bend, squat, and stretch regularly during their shifts, maintaining a brisk pace while walking. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Part-Time Custodian

Location: Honolulu, HI 96819

-Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the facility

Stand and walk for extended periods

Communicate effectively and understand English

Clean warehouse, restrooms, and office spaces

Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning Restroom cleaning and restock supplies

Sweep, mop, interior and exterior floors, clean glass doors and mirrors

Clean and disinfect surfaces that are being touched frequently

Clean and wipe down all tables and chairs

Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas

Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases

Push trash bins as needed

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass background check

High school diploma/GED preferred

Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Must have good public relations skills and communication

Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently press, lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.

Schedule: The candidate is responsible for cleaning two different properties: Monday to Friday: 12pm-2pm and 3pm-5pm

Compensation per hour: $18.00
