The Nutrition Program Meal Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and timely delivery of meals from packaging location to the volunteer drop site for several communities. The position is also responsible for delivery of meals on a weekly basis and in instance of lack of volunteer support. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the health and well-being of program clients by providing them with consistent access to nutritious meals.
Packaging Location: New London - Volunteer Drop Site Location: Clintonville and Marion
This position will exist as long as program clientele require delivery of meals. Anticipated schedule is mid-day delivery of meals Monday - Thursday with an estimated 8-12 hours of deliveries each week. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the program.
This position will end by 6-1-2026Position Duties
Pick up meals at designated location(s) within Waupaca County and deliver to identified volunteer drop sites.
Ensure meals are delivered promptly and with care to each client's home.
Communicate any route or schedule changes to program coordinators and clients as necessary.
Follow all safety protocols and program policy to protect clients, staff, and the community.
Track mileage accurately for weekly reimbursement purposes.
Maintain agency confidentiality at all times.
Other Duties as Assigned
PERIPHERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A true team member when assistance is needed in other areas of Human Services.
Be involved in new and different opportunities not typically assigned to this position when requested.
Minimum QualificationsEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Caregiver background check required.
Passion and desire to work with the aging population.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Strong organizational skills and time management.
Ability to navigate rural routes and adjust to changing client locations.
Compassionate, respectful, and dependable with a commitment to client care.
Physical ability to lift (up to 50 lbs.) and carry meals as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to effectively greet, welcome and interact with the public of all ages and abilities.
Ability to maintain a high level of organizational skills.
Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
