8 Hour Custodial Positions - Full-time / Part-time

Custodial Opening at Tahquamenon Area Schools. 

Hours fluctuate based on the season and need.
- Position is hired through Edustaff
- 8 hour shift
- Wages begin at $13.73 per hour
Primary function is to provide cleaning services for the building or area assigned.  Hours to be determined by Chief Custodian. Must pass a background check. 
 
Classrooms
    *Vacuum all carpeted areas
    *Sweep all hard surfaced floors with dust mop
    *Mop floors
    *Empty wastebaskets
    *Clean sinks, faucets, toilets, drinking fountains
    *Clean window glass on doors
    *Dust all ledges and other surfaces
    *Replenish paper and soap products
    *Inspect area
    *Secure windows and doors
    *Other duties as assigned by Chief Custodian
 
Bathrooms
    *Replenish paper towel and toilet paper and soap
    *Clean and polish mirrors
    *Clean graffiti
    *Wet mop hard surface floors
    *Inspect area
    *Other duties as assigned by Chief Custodian
 
Office Space, Library and Conference Room Cleaning 
    *Empty trash
    *Dust high/low
    *Pick up debris off of floor
    *Vacuum floor
    *Wet mop hard surfaces
    *Other duties as assigned by Chief Custodian
 
Stairwell Cleaning
    *Empty trash
    *Dust high/low
    *Sweep/vacuum and wet mop stairs and landings
    *Inspect area
    *Pick up objects
    *Other duties as assigned by Chief Custodian
         * Remove webs/dust on ledges/railings
 
 
Corridor Cleaning
    *Empty trash
    *Clean, sanitize water fountains
    *Dust high/low
    *Pick up objects from floor and walls
    *Vacuum floors
    *Wet mop hard surface floors
         * Remove webs/dust on surfaces/corners
    *Reposition furniture
    *Other duties as assigned by Chief Custodian
 
Summer cleaning will be explained and issued by the Chief Custodian. Job will involve lifting.
