DESCRIPTION:
The IT Asset Coordinator is an integral part of our IT Team with primary responsibility associated with asset management and the opportunity to expand their role and responsibilities with company and personal growth. The IT Asset Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the lifecycle of all IT assets within the organization. This includes procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal of hardware and software assets. The person in this role reports to the IT Manager and works closely with Compliance and Operations to ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures, as well as maintaining accurate records of all assets. The person in this role is critical for success during contract and employee transitions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Procure new IT hardware, software, and accessories based on organizational needs and established standards and processes.
- Deploy and configure IT assets according to company standards and user requirements.
- Track and maintain inventory of all IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with asset management policies.
- Coordinate the disposal and recycling of outdated or non-functional IT assets in a secure and responsible manner.
- Provide support and guidance to end-users regarding asset-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain documentation and reports related to asset inventory, procurement, and expenditures.
- Assist the IT Manager in reviewing/maintaining the accuracy of the leasing schedules in accordance with any lease agreement terms and master service agreements (MSA).
- Work with compliance to ensure data destruction records are tracked.
- Supports relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Receive, inventory, process/image and/or distribute incoming shipments.
- Organize, scans, and/or file records as needed.
- Assist with other activities as directed by IT Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS: General office environment; spends at least 50% of time working at PC terminal. Subject to frequent interruptions with high volume of requests. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday including bending, crawling. Must be able to push, pull, shove, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight for a minimum distance of 50 feet.
