American Traveler is hiring a Surgical RN for a 13-week OR assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience, with Open Heart experience preferred and MO or compact RN licensure required.
Details- Work in an acute care hospital OR/Surgery department
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required: Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–7:00 AM and Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 AM when scheduled
- Perioperative patient population spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
- 13-week contract
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience required
- Open Heart experience preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, with indirect accountability to the House Supervisor
- Responsible for coordinating patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist throughout the perioperative process
- Directs and guides OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure continuity of care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
