Required Skills:

• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology or pending exam in current certification process
• Virginia medical license
• Current DEA certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology or oncology
• Proficiency in EPIC Beacon EMR system
• Ability to work independently within a team setting
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Willingness to support adult patients aged 18+

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with inpatient or infusion center procedures
• Familiarity with radiation oncology settings
• Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including nurse navigators and palliative care staff
• Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or other relevant specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• At least one year of post-residency or fellowship experience in hematology/oncology

Other Requirements:

• Virginia state medical license, DEA license, and BLS certification required
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and privileging within 60-90 days
• Valid flu vaccination
• Clean background required; no pending or settled malpractice cases
• Travel in connection with clinical duties is fully billable (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage)

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $507.00, with comprehensive benefits including weekly direct deposit pay, medical benefits, referral bonus programs, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws. Work schedules include daytime shifts Monday through Thursday, with additional Friday clinics every third week, and rotation for call coverage (night and 24-hour weekend calls). Compensation for call work ranges from $800/hour during onsite callbacks to $5,000/day for weekend on-call coverage.
