Migration Engineer

Migration Engineer to provide Migration Engineering Services across multiple data centers using high availability for the virtualized technologies Infrastructure Service Provider/Application Service Provider (ISP/ASP) program. Candidate will serve as the key interface to Application Service Providers (ASPs) provisioning, migrating and/or reclaiming of their Compute, Network and Storage Resources as well as Infrastructure Services such as backup, archive, etc.

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Responsible as the key interface to Application Service Providers (ASPs)

· Responsible for migrating ASPs through the on-boarding process

· Responsible for capturing and validating ASP technical requirements

· Responsible for conducting ASP tag-ups to include setting agendas and publishing minutes

· Responsible for communicating with ASPs, program leadership, customers, and subject matter experts to clarify requirements, solve problems and issues, and provide status

· Responsible for tracking ASP on-boarding progress to include impact analysis, implementation design, provisioning execution, and post-provisioning deployment

· Responsible for interfacing with Tier 2, Tier 3, and Engineering subject matter experts to support ASP requirements and issues

· Responsible for supporting customer board meetings and briefings, as required.

· Support post-provisioning deployment, as required

Clearance Type: U. S. Citizenship and Current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph eligible.

· Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information

Required Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field and a minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience or 8 years of equivalent hands on experience working with customer in technical data center operations in lieu of a degree

Certification

· Desired DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE)

Required Skills:

· Working knowledge of the fundamentals of Compute, Storage and Networking technologies

· Working knowledge of Windows platform operating systems (Windows 10 and Server 2019 or higher)

· Working knowledge of virtualization products with a focus on VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vRealize Operations

· Working knowledge of storage devices to include File, Block, Object, S3, vSAN

· Working knowledge of Systems Engineering

· Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions

· Demonstrated experience in communicating both orally and in writing with program and customer leadership, customers, as well as end users

· Demonstrated experience in networking, building relationships, and delivering results

· Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite such as building spreadsheets, consolidating input across various offices, and edit/update as needed

· Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) mission

· ITIL Service Operations Knowledge

· IT Service Management and Tools knowledge to include ServiceNow tools

· Working knowledge virtualization (VMware) coupled with Cloud infrastructure knowledge

· Working knowledge Compute, Network and Storage

· Working knowledge Managed Kubernetes services

· Working knowledge of design, implement, and maintain mechanisms to release and manage in cloud and on-premises environments

· Working knowledge of an entire project lifecycle of architect, development or implementation of information systems
