Job Description
Candidates must be self-driven, reliable, willing to learn and be resourceful. Strong computer skills, proficient writing skills and strong communication skills are a must. This is an incredible opportunity for extremely organized individuals that thrive in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking, the ability to time manage and transition from task to task with ease. The successful candidate should be capable of working with employees throughout the organization and interacting with building residents as well. Previous experience in the NYC real estate market is preferable. We are looking for someone who is capable of working independently and can assist us in providing a high level of service.
We are looking to add a Property Manager to each boro~
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Construction/Maintenance: Review of renovation contracts; Maintain list of all ongoing renovation projects (track progress, budget, and any changes to original scope of work); Perform site visits to review ongoing work and general condition of properties; Interface with various company vendors
Leasing: Assist with the leasing processes for new tenant applications, coordinate with building Superintendents to schedule walk-throughs of apartments which will be coming vacant, meet with prospective tenants before move-in dates, follow-up with new tenants after their initial move-in dates to ensure successful tenancy
Tenant Relations: Address resident concerns and maintenance requests in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction with management; work with maintenance team to schedule appointments; Prepare and distribute tenant communications and notices as needed, provide guidance and meet with tenants to collect rental payments as necessary,
Candidate must also have:
- Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, positive attitude
- College degree preferred but not necessary
- Strong administrative skills
- Strong MS Office skills (particularly Word/Excel) are required
- Familiar with NYC apartment market and rent stabilization laws a plus
- 7+ years of experience working with a large number of units, 300+ minimum
- Reliable mode of transportation as candidates will be required to come to our Great Neck office for meetings
