Financial Analyst III/Budget Analyst

Tuba Group is seeking a Financial Analyst II to deliver excellent support to our client United States Marshals Service.

General Summary  

• Under the direction of the program manager the Financial Analyst II performs but not limited to the following responsibilities:   
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices and relevant Office Management and Budget (OMB) circulars 
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds. 
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies and procedures. 
• Prepares draft budget request for office operations. 
• Requires proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements .   

Skills & Experience:  

• Minimum of 2 years professional work experience in finance, budget, or accounting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Able to prioritize task work and multitask
• Able to work independently and in a team setting
• Be proficient in communicating effectively
• Be Detail Oriented     

Education:      

A Financial Analyst II must meet the following qualifications: 

• Four- year undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

• Must be Public Trust Eligible 

• Must be able to work on-site for government client

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
