Automotive Technician (Electrical Diagnostics and Welding/Fabrication)

6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This group does emissions test work for government vehicles, primarily doing fabrication, electrical component set up, and setting up the vehicles.

• Prepping vehicles from an emission standpoint
• Upfitting electrical components in the vehicles,
• Communicating well with the team lead and engineers
• Putting computer stacks, wiring, emission probes into the vehicle
• Checking temperature
• Weld fabrication of the exhaust systems
• Might set the whole vehicle up if something is not working, look into it, and fix it
• Suspension work, brake work, dropping the fuel tanks, sometimes tear down engines

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree preferred
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills
• Strong welding/fabrication skills
• 8-10 years of experience
