FULL DESCRIPTION: Handles duties in support of Facilities Management under Director of Finance. This role requires hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, janitorial maintenance, and general facility support, combined with courier responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver with a healthy curiosity, organized and creative. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and janitorial tasks.
- Maintain the company fleet of vehicles, including routine inspections, cleaning, and scheduling service or repairs.
- Serve as a courier, delivering documents, packages, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with moving and arranging furniture during office relocations or reconfigurations.
- Support the setup of new office spaces, including assembling furniture, installing equipment, and ensuring functional workspaces.
- Assist with obtaining business licenses, permits, and other regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with multiple property managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request replacements as needed.
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, courier deliveries, and vehicle upkeep.
- Seasonal decorating for facilities
- Coordination and planning of special events
- Generate memos, emails and reports when appropriate
- Respond to questions and requests for information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization supply room and exterior utility room
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Proficient Data Entry and Typing skills
- Proficient in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Tastefully creative
- Bilingual preferred
- Good Attendance
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Abilit to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist with diverse operational tasks
- Dependable vehicle
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and move up to 75 lbs.
