Mechanical Support Representative

 

Provides technical assistance, troubleshooting, and customer service for mechanical equipment, systems, or products. They diagnose issues, guide users through repairs via phone/email, process warranty claims, and manage documentation using CRM tools.

Key skills include mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and technical expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues for customers, often remotely.
  • Customer Support: Answering inquiries, educating users on product usage, and managing complaints.
  • Warranty/Service Processing: Handling warranty claims, parts ordering, and documenting service work.
  • Documentation: Logging customer interactions, technical solutions, and recurring product issues in CRM systems.
  • System Knowledge: Advising on maintenance,, recommending upgrades, and facilitating repairs.

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Technical Background: Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, machinery, or automotive components.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for explaining technical details to non-technical users.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Soft Skills: High mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, patience, and customer-focused.
