Driver ManagerHouston, TX
The Driver Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating driver schedules and vehicle utilization to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality deliveries. This role involves proactive communication with drivers, customers, and Sentinel management to anticipate and resolve potential delivery issues, prevent runouts, and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
Schedule & Compensation
- Salary: $57,000 annually
- Shift: Overnight (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Schedule: Rotating 3-week cycle consisting of a combination of 3-day and 4-day workweeks
Example: 4 days on / 3 days off → 3 days on / 3 days off → 4 days on - Availability: Candidates must be available to work holidays and weekends, as scheduled
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dispatcher or in a transportation/logistics coordination role
- Prior experience working with hazardous materials (preferred)
- Familiarity with FMCSA, DOT, FHWA, and HM regulations (preferred)
- Skills: Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Comfortable learning and using new technologies
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
