Head Custodian at Northley Middle School - Full-time

Full-time head custodian - 12 month position.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

 

To maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellent so that full educational use of the building may be made at all times.  Responsible for Custodial staff supervision and the overall cleanliness, sanitation, security, safety and maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment.

                                   

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum three (3) years custodial experience/lead custodial experience preferred

Demonstrated success in a custodial position

Floor/carpet care, seasonal and special project experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrated ability in basic computer skills

Ability to work collaboratively with all school personnel

Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice

   safe work habits, utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and report

   unsafe conditions to the Custodial Foreman

Ability to perform heavy lifting

 

Current Act 34, 114 and 151 clearances required.
