Power & Safety: Electrical Engineer Associate – Intern

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER INTERN

The Electrical Design Internship is a student-level position that focuses on learning and serves as an applied design resource. The internship offers experience within a multi-disciplined team and requires the acquisition of electrical design skills and knowledge.

The responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer Intern include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in creating designs, including electrical design, instrumentation and process drawings, MCC elevations, one-lines, facility site plans, lighting plans and equipment selection.
  • Working with Electrical Engineers on drawing packages in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Performing project tasks under direct supervision while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Monitoring personal quality measures to ensure they are being met.
  • Utilizing, supporting, and enhancing ESCO’s standards and best practices.
  • Understanding and following all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.

 

 

Intern candidates should have:

  • Enrollment in or completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree program in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university.

 

Preferred:

  • Education or training in electrical engineering and design.
  • Education or training in electrical fundamentals such as voltage, current, and resistance.
  • Education or training in the use of AutoCAD Electrical.
