Overview:
Safety City is a safety education program for children ages 5, 6, and 7 living in the City of Columbus. Staff will provide hands on support to the children participating in the program. Programing will take place over the course of five weeks throughout the City of Columbus.
Other Details:
- Five-week program that will start in June 2026
- Hours for weeks 1 - 3 will be 8AM - 12:30PM
- Hours for weeks 4-6 will be 8AM - 2:30PM

Essential Functions:
- Ensures safe and effective supervision of children, reporting as needed to parents or appropriate leader.
- Implements childcare curriculum and activities.
- Provides a welcoming environment for children and parents.
- Maintains cleanliness and order in the childcare space.
- Maintains all required documentation in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Certifications:
CPR training or completion of provided training upon hire, required.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and provide direction for groups of children.
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Experience:
Experience working with young children, required.
