Purpose of Role

The Leese Trading Group Intern supports the trading desk by delivering timely and accurate analysis that enhances trading decisions and strategic positioning. The role is responsible for conducting technical and fundamental analysis, monitoring market trends, and providing real‑time insights that inform trade strategy development. In addition, this role contributes research to support trading positions and risk assessments, assists in preparing reports and summaries of trading activity, and collaborates with team members to refine analytical tools and models that strengthen overall trading effectiveness.

Responsibilities      

  • Provide technical and fundamental analysis to support trading decisions.
  • Monitor market trends and assist with trade strategy development.
  • Support the trade desk with real-time market insights.
  • Conduct research to inform trading positions and risk assessments.
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for trading activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine analytical tools and models.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management is preferred but business administration, business analytics, business law, computer science, cybersecurity, economics, finance, information systems / technology data science, mathematics, and political science are accepted.
• Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.
