Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Laboratory Support (ILS) Coordinator in Seattle, WA
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Onsite - Seattle, WA
Pay rate: $30-$31/hr
Description:
The ILS Coordinator will support a short-term project focused on asset inventory in a laboratory setting. This role is critical in ensuring accurate equipment tracking, compliance, and service coordination within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer focused equipment support while maintaining a high level of compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for client customer base within site laboratories and external contractors arriving at site to repair/maintain scientific equipment.
- Support all service administration tasks in collaboration with client metrology team.
- Partner with the client metrology team to support management with the calibration and send away of devices, document controls and verifications.
- Manage and improve the service logging process and asset database.
- Track the performance of the scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes.
- Maintain CMMS systems to keep accurate records of all equipment related faults to support data related initiatives.
- Attend client meetings to review on-going performance areas for continual improvement.
- Work with the planning or engineering teams to escalate calls for remediation, ensuring that the requestor is informed and updated at all stages of the process.
- Help ensure that all relevant QHSE processes about contractor management are met, and the site remains audit ready.
- Ensure all compliant documentation like engineering service reports are stored and filed according to GxP and GDP practices.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience
- (HNC/HND in engineering or science discipline preferred)
- Hands-on lab experience (required)
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
- Ability to work in a regulated environment and maintain HSE and quality compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to follow defined procedures and work routines
- Basic math skills, including percentages and simple calculations
