Corporate / M&A Associate (Hybrid California)

We are hiring a senior-level Corporate / M&A Associate to join a busy corporate and securities practice. This role is for attorneys who can run transactions, work independently, and mentor junior team members.

The practice is heavily focused on venture capital financings and middle-market M&A, with sophisticated clients across multiple industries.

Life sciences experience is a plus, but not required.

• Base salary: $210,000 – $320,000, depending on level and performance

• Strong platform for long-term growth

• Leading venture capital financings (Series A–C, SAFEs, convertible notes)
• Handling middle-market M&A transactions (stock and asset deals, mergers, JV’s)
• Drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents
• Advising companies on corporate governance and general corporate matters
• Mentoring junior associates and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Working directly with clients and partners on active deals

• Have meaningful experience running VC and M&A transactions
• Can manage multiple deals at once with minimal supervision
• Are comfortable mentoring junior attorneys
• Want a hybrid, office-based role with real responsibility
• Prefer a performance-driven environment over lockstep progression
