The Vice President of Benefits provides strategic leadership and oversight for INSight Partners' Benefits division while also serving as a Benefits Risk Advisor responsible for producing, managing, and retaining a personal book of business. This role combines executive responsibility with direct client relationship management, ensuring alignment between field needs and organizational strategy.

The VP of Benefits drives growth, service excellence, and operational consistency across the Benefits division, maintains strong carrier relationships, and collaborates closely with executive leadership to support companywide initiatives. This position plays a key role in business development and retention for both group and individual benefits clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leader: Establish the strategic direction for the Benefits division to support growth, retention, and profitability.

Team Developer: Mentor, coach, and support Benefits Client Managers and support staff to promote professional development.

Carrier Relationship Executive: Maintain strong relationships with carriers, including oversight of negotiations and escalated issue resolution.

Operational Champion: Ensure consistent workflows, processes, and service standards across all Benefits operations.

Process Innovator: Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.

Executive Contributor: Represent the Benefits division in leadership meetings and support INSight Partners planning.

Benefits Risk Advisor: Build and maintain a personal book of business across group and individual benefits.

New Business Producer: Identify prospects, work alongside the Client Management team to prepare proposals, and present benefit solutions to clients.

Renewal & Strategy Partner: Oversee renewal analyses, carrier negotiations, and plan recommendations.

Cross-Selling Partner: Collaborate with P&C teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.

Flexible Contributor: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the benefits division and INSIght as a whole.

SKILLS & STRENGTHS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience in benefits production or advisory roles.

• Demonstrated success in producing and maintaining a book of business.

• Leadership or division management experience strongly preferred.

• Active Life & Health License required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.

• Strong understanding of ACA, ERISA, and related regulations.
