Title: Interim Accounts Payable Lead
Location: Geneva General Hospital – Geneva, NY
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $28.50/hr
Hours: 8:00 am-4:30 pm (40 hours/week)
Minimum: 2 years of AP experience / Preferred: AP lead experience, experience with Workday, success in supporting large-scale AP system transitions
Work Model: Initially onsite in Geneva for training and go-live; potential transition to hybrid/remote post–go-live
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable Experience
Preferred Experience: Experience with Workday, Perceptive, Allscripts; AP lead experience, hospital clerical experience, experience supporting large-scale AP system transitions
Job Description: The Interim Accounts Payable Lead will help to stabilize AP operations, lead staff through system changes, and ensure uninterrupted vendor payment processing during and after the Workday go-live.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as interim AP Lead, providing day-to-day leadership for:
- Two full-time AP Clerks
- One per diem AP resource
- Assume responsibility for:
- Check runs and ACH processing
- AP workflow oversight and issue resolution
- Lead AP readiness and execution for the Lawson to Workday transition, including:
- Hands-on training and shadowing with the outgoing AP Lead before retirement
- Active participation during go-live and immediate post–go-live stabilization
- Oversee invoice processing workflows across systems:
- Perceptive for non-PO invoices and approvals
- Allscripts for PO invoices and materials management
- Coordination with Meditech during the interim transition period
- Support AP accruals in coordination with the accounting team
- Document AP procedures, controls, and workflows to support knowledge retention
- Partner with URMC/FLH super users and internal stakeholders to resolve system and process issues
