Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and committed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about enhancing children's mobility and dedicated to fostering meaningful improvements in their lives. This position supports licensed physical therapists in delivering comprehensive care within the school environment, focusing on evidence-based interventions to promote students' mobility, functional independence, and overall well-being.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver services in compliance with New York State guidelines applicable to educational settings.
• Ensure strict adherence to IEP and 504 plan recommendations.
• Support licensed physical therapists in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address specific student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of treatment responses.
• Educate students, families, and staff to encourage positive student engagement across all environments.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal outcomes and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State PTA license
• Strong time management abilities
• Demonstrated capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in an educational setting
