Description
M-Prints is now hiring an FT Screen Printer & General Production Associate. Applicants must be approachable, receptive, and flexible. and have good communication skills. Candidates can effectively deal with shifting priorities as business dictates and possess the ability to work independently and is self-motivated.
Screen Printer Production Associate is pivotal in ensuring high-quality output in our screen printing and embroidery operations. The ideal candidate will express a general interest and aptitude in learning screen printing and embroidery techniques, and a strong understanding of production processes in a manufacturing environment.
The Screen Printer/Production Associate understands, articulates, and models how to work effectively in a team environment. They consistently teach, model, and embrace a positive attitude and create positive energy in the workplace. They respect, appreciate, and solicit diverse viewpoints. Experience in screen printing or embroidery is a plus but not required.
Screen Printer Responsibilities include:
- Operate and maintain screen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed designs on various garments and textiles.
- Burn, reclaim, coat, and maintain screens according to production requirements.
- Conduct minor equipment maintenance and communicate larger repair needs to the General Manager.
- Maintain proper organization of screens, chemicals, inks, tools, and printing materials.
- Support the embroidery department in the production processes as needed to facilitate a timely delivery of products to customers.
Embroidery Responsibilities include:
- Assist embroidery operator with hooping, backing selection, and material preparation.
- Help thread machines, change needles, and load designs as directed by the embroidery operator.
- Monitor embroidery machine runs for thread breaks, alignment issues, or quality concerns.
- Trim, fold, and finish embroidered garments to meet quality and production standards.
- Monitor production runs to maintain consistency in product quality and output.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used in production and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure designs are executed according to specifications and timelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate with setup, operation, and finishing tasks involved in producing pressure-sensitive printed products.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow design specifications and quality standards.
- General knowledge of different garment materials and their handling requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
