Perform daily tractor and trailer inspections per DOT guidelines
-
Safely load, secure, and unload forklifts, industrial batteries, and other material handling equipment
-
Operate 53’ flat deck roll off and lowboy trailers
-
Maintain accurate electronic logbooks/ELDs
-
Follow all DOT regulations including size, weight, routing, parking, and break requirements
-
Report equipment defects, accidents, or violations to the Corporate Manager, Shop & Transportation
-
Follow shipping/receiving procedures and use the Warehouse Management System
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional truck and trailer
-
Perform minor maintenance (greasing, replacing light bulbs, basic upkeep)
-
Conduct damage assessments and submit documentation/photos
-
Verify route completion and submit required paperwork
-
Interact professionally with customers and internal teams
-
Assist dock staff with daily operational tasks as needed
-
Perform other related duties as assigned

Valid CDL license with clean driving record
-
Current Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days
-
Experience operating semi tractors with flat deck roll off and lowboy trailers
-
Knowledge of proper load securement for forklifts and material handling equipment

Strong understanding of DOT regulations, compliance, and safety practices
-
Ability to perform inspections and basic tractor/trailer maintenance
-
Experience with electronic logs/ELDs
-
Understanding of shipment setup, labeling, logging, and counting procedures
-
Ability to maintain CDL requirements including medical certification
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
1–2+ years of relevant driving experience preferred
