1st Shift: 7am – 4pm (Temporary position 1-3 months) 
  
 Valtir is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support our Lima, OH manufacturing main office.  The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for completing clerical / administrative functions, including, answering phones, distributing mail, preparing/processing shipping & receiving documents and reports, maintaining records, and other clerical duties as assigned.
 

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Preparing shipping and receiving documents for the plant, including but not limited to, revising certifications and processing customs paperwork for international shipments. 
  • Receiving packing list and accurately entering information into multiple systems. 
  • Processing and signing out drivers to allocated loads before departure. 
  • Allocating and managing company credit card expenses through online account
  • Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
  • Maintaining accurate files for retention records
  • Answering the phone, directing calls to appropriate departments and greeting guests. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of work-related experience 
  • Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate record-keeping, inventory counts, and documentation.
  • Communication: Clear speaking, writing, and listening to coordinate with team members, drivers, and management.
  • Organization & Time Management: Efficiently managing tasks, inventory, and schedules 
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly resolving issues like missing shipments or discrepancies.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Adjusting to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Data Entry & Computer Literacy: Accurate input into computer systems, often using Microsoft Office (Excel). EPR experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Work Environment: Fast paced - requiring rapid adaption to changing tasks, tight deadlines, multitasking, frequent interruptions.
