Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Location: Newtown Campus
The Grounds II position is responsible for performing all tasks related to maintaining the campus grounds safely and efficiently. This includes but is not limited to campus cleanup (litter etc.), mowing, tree and shrub care, landscape planting, landscape construction, athletic field maintenance, equipment repair and snow/ ice removal. Overtime is required to reopen the College in the event of emergencies in a safe, efficient timely manner. Occasionally, the Grounds II position will aid maintenance staff and perform landscape duties as directed at any of the 3 College satellite campuses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or certificate required, along with relevant licenses.
Minimum of 5 years relevant grounds experience. Small equipment repair certification with 3 years relevant licenses or demonstrated ability to perform duties of small equipment repair. Welding, JLG, and pesticide license are required
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to perform all operations safely.
Ability to effectively deal with all levels of the campus community with professionalism.
PA background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screening are required.
Hourly rate: $27.28 per hour. May qualify for additional hourly compensation based on certifications.
