Admissions Nurse - Full-time

Monday - Friday, 12 PM - 8 PM

$30 - $39 per hour

Responsibilities for Admissions Nurse: 

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of incoming patients to determine the severity of illness and care needs. 

• Collect and document detailed medical histories, including current medications, allergies, and previous treatments. 

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop preliminary care and placement plans. 

• Serve as the first point of clinical contact, providing compassionate, patient-centered care during admission. 

• Communicate clearly with patients and families about the intake process, care expectations, and next steps. 

• Monitor for signs of medical distress during the intake process and escalate care when needed. 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital admission policies, infection control protocols, and triage guidelines. 

Qualifications for Admissions Nurse: 

• Active RN license (state-specific requirements apply). 

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR)

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). 

• Experience in emergency, critical care, or admissions nursing is highly desirable. 

• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. 

• Proficient with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation.
