FINANCIAL ANALYST - HYBRID

This position is a hybrid position and the candidate must reside in Texas.

PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILTY

The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance and report on this performance in a meaningful way to organizational leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze business and financial data.
• Creates financial models and reporting to support organizational decision making.
• Enters data into financial system and reviews income statement and balance sheet for accuracy.
• Completes ad hoc analysis for organizational leaders and external stakeholders.
• Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
• Helps conducts audits/monitoring of external providers.
• Improve process flows and find efficiencies when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Two years of professional experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
• Thorough understanding of project management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Prior Medicaid/Medical billing experience.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

• Valid Texas Driver’s License, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.
• Pending trainings/license as required by SJRC Texas/Belong.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
