Building Maintenance Technician I

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour  

Location: Corporate Office, Boise, ID
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days per week
Overtime: Required as needed
Assignment Extension: Yes, possible
Conversion to Full-Time: To be determined by management

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician I to support daily maintenance and upkeep of a corporate campus. Working under close supervision of a Senior Manager, this role ensures that owned and leased facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver professional customer service in a corporate environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs
  • Assist with furniture installation, tear-down, and space setup
  • Hang fixtures, signage, and other facility components as needed
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Interface professionally with internal customers and provide on-site support
  • Follow safety protocols, company policies, and maintenance procedures

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of general repair techniques, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when business needs require
