- Site Oversight: Manage on-site EHS performance for both internal teams and subcontractors to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
- Incident Management: Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Liaison: Ensure total compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards.
Environmental & Training
- Sustainability: Manage waste programs and optimize energy/water usage initiatives.
- Training Delivery: Develop and facilitate EHS training for employees, vendors, and third-party contractors.
- Emergency Readiness: Coordinate and lead drills for fire, chemical, and electrical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of EHS experience, specifically within data centers, industrial construction, or high-tech environments.
- Location: Must be based in Northern Virginia with the ability to travel occasionally to regional sites.
- Knowledge Base: Strong grasp of OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001/45001 frameworks.
- Technical Familiarity: Hands-on experience with electrical safety, confined spaces, and hazardous materials.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering (preferred).
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Certifications: CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH, or CHMM highly preferred.
- Technical Savvy: Familiarity with UPS systems, backup generators, and industrial cooling technologies.
- Software: Proficiency in EHS management software and data reporting tools (Excel).
