Custodian Supervisor - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently hiring an Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee hospital cleaning operations.

Position Overview

The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, ensuring all hospital areas are cleaned according to strict healthcare standards, and maintaining compliance with safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations in Operating Rooms and hospital areas

Train, schedule, and support janitorial staff to ensure quality performance

Ensure compliance with housekeeping, infection control, and safety guidelines

Oversee proper handling and disposal of infectious and hazardous waste

Monitor Category I exposure procedures and safety protocols

Inspect completed work and maintain high cleanliness standards

Maintain inventory and organization of cleaning supplies and storage areas

Communicate effectively with staff and management

Follow written and verbal instructions and enforce company policies

Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of hospital housekeeping and infectious waste procedures

Leadership and team supervision experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stand and/or walk at least 5 hours per shift

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 pounds regularly

Previous hospital cleaning or supervisory experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Occupational Exposure

This role involves Category I exposure to blood-borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards, and possible radiation hazards. A pre-employment drug screening is required.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (or based on experience)

Expected Hours: 30–40 hours per week
