Each rentable lawn includes popular lawn games, big-screen TVs, courtside F&B service, and dedicated “Lawncierges.” Lawn Club caters to a variety of audiences, from twenty-somethings to corporate event planners.
About the Role
Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Lawncierge to be based at Lawn Club. Positioning itself as “New York’s Leisure Headquarters,” Lawn Club features indoor and outdoor rentable gaming lawns in a massive 25,000 square foot venue, along with amazing cocktails and a small menu of tasty bites.
Designed to deliver the ideal atmosphere for hanging out with friends, each rentable lawn at Lawn Club will come with a full complement of popular lawn games including bocce, cornhole, croquet, ladders, kan jam, beersbee and lawn pong, along with big-screen TVs for sports enjoyment, courtside F&B service, and dedicated “Lawncierges” to help with all gaming needs. Lawn Club also features two regulation Shuffle Board courts and two Putting Pool greens.
Lawncierges are the heart-and-soul of Lawn Club. They live and breathe a passion for all-things lawn games - not just the rules and equipment, but the spirit of hanging out with a game to play, a drink in your hand and grass under your feet.
Your role is to help guests get on a court and have a great time by ushering them from the clubhouse to the court, setting up the gaming equipment, and providing tips on technique, rules, scorekeeping, etc.
You also keep enthusiasm high by checking in on guests’ games, complimenting shots, giving pointers, and providing any assistance needed.
Lawncierges work closely with the service team to ensure all guests’ F&B needs are being met.
What You Will Do
Deliver a superior and fun gaming/ recreation experience to all guests
Serve as main point of contact for guests participating in Lawn Club activities
Greet, welcome, and usher guests to courts, introduce game options, check in regularly with guests
Demonstrate expert knowledge of all games and activities
Provide tips on play, rules, scorekeeping, etc. and encourage guests during games
Assist patrons with questions, inquiries, and guide complaints to management
Set-up, maintenance and breakdown of gaming equipment
Partner with F&B staff for dining and drink experiences
Adhere to and ensure safety of all guests
Actively participate during line up
Maintain elevated standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the club
Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
Perform other duties and responsibilities as per business need
About You
Minimum of 1+ years as concierge, recreation attendant, or equivalent relevant experience
Able to deliver a fun, enthusiastic experience to guests consistently
Personable demeanor, instinctive nature, and ability to deliver world-class hospitality
Ability to think quickly, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written
Ability to take direction and execute
High standards for cleanliness of workspace and service areas
Professional demeanor and polished appearance
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Compensation: $20 – $25 per hour
