Job Purpose
Assists in delegating daily duties to regular/temporary Distribution Center Associates. Works closely with site leadership to ensure productivity and safety expectations are met. Regularly performs Distribution Center Associate duties and may specialize in designated areas or functions.
Salary Range
- $23.31 - $29.00, depending on position qualifications, job-related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organize duties and assignments as set forth by the Service Center Supervisor/Manager, and guide coworkers to fulfill Distribution Center responsibilities.
Guide coworkers to follow safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
Safely unload received shipments of industrial products, tools, and equipment; inspect and verify shipment against the bill of lading, then transfer products to the correct receiving area.
Select appropriate equipment (forklift, overhead crane, or other heavy equipment) to safely transfer products within the Distribution Center.
Verify equipment is operational, and transfer products to the correct bin, rack, or pipe rack.
Mark the product with the correct identifying information.
Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer.
Load onto a correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment.
Enter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into the SIMS system, using the handheld scanner as appropriate.
Maintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits.
Review various periodic reports for context.
Prepare appropriate documentation for shipments.
Adhere to required safety policies, guidelines, and training.
Maintain Distribution Center cleanliness in compliance with OSHA/OHS, Company, and any local safety requirements.
Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone and email etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.
Able/available to work overtime, including some weekend days, according to fluctuating business needs.

Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
Required Experience
Six months' experience in a dedicated position in a warehouse, pipe yard, or other labor-intensive industrial environment.
Experience in warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory, and shipping.
Must have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience.
Communicates with tact and diplomacy when scheduling, delegating, and verifying the safety and accuracy of others’ work.
Ability to lift 55 pounds comfortably and safely.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, wrapping machines, banding equipment, cranes/cherry pickers, and other warehouse tools is preferred.
Demonstrate understanding of basic units of measurement (fractions, decimals, etc.).
Basic math and good reading skills.
Typing and basic computer skills.
Comfortable learning and using a variety of computer applications for receiving and shipping products.
Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
Ability to understand and comply with MRC Global’s guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
Working Conditions
Physical activity/exertion is routine.
Able to lift 25-50 pounds overhead.
May be exposed to loud noises.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Operate heavy machinery/tools (as required).
PPE required.
Able to work overtime and weekends.
Able to work in the elements, such as in extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
