Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN Perioperative Circulator for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position requiring at least one year of acute OR experience, with ophthalmology experience preferred.

  • Work setting is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 4 days per week (6:30am–5:00pm)
  • \n
  • 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • \n
  • No call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage required
  • \n
  • Ophthalmology experience is preferred
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • \n
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
  • \n
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing practices
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates individualized nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
  • \n
  • Responsible for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of perioperative care utilizing the nursing process
  • \n
  • Tailors patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
  • \n
  • After 26 weeks of total placement (including any extensions), candidates must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for another contract at this facility
  • \n
  • Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
