Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary
\n Performs and interprets designated laboratory procedures, including serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic procedures to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensures accurate testing on laboratory specimens/collections according to established protocols, reporting results promptly. Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and specimen/product issues using standard laboratory techniques. Conducts quality control, maintenance, and calibration of instruments and equipment to meet quality standards. Assists in training and orientation of new associates while promoting the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.

Required Qualifications
\n - One year of experience.
\n - Bachelor’s Degree.
\n - MT(ASCP) or CLS(ASCP) certification.

Additional Information
\n - Performs quality audit data collection, technical policy/procedure development, and inspection assistance under laboratory management.
\n - Maintains workflow in the clinical laboratory through proficiency in testing, work area maintenance, and inventory management.
