Job Description
Position Summary
The Associate Dentist is a licensed dental provider employed as a W-2 employee responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered dental care in accordance with professional standards, clinical protocols, and Maxion Management & Affiliates values. This role focuses on comprehensive patient care, collaboration with the clinical team, and ethical treatment planning while supporting patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and practice growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of general dental procedures within scope of licensure
- Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, risks, benefits, and post-treatment care
- Develop and present treatment plans aligned with patient needs and clinical best practices
- Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, crowns, bridges, and other general dentistry services as permitted by training and experience
- Collaborate with specialists, hygienists, dental assistants, and front office staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the dental software system
- Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and clinical discussions as required
- Support patient retention through professional communication and high-quality care
- Engage in continuing education to maintain clinical competency and stay current with best practices
- Adhere to all HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Dentist (DDS or DMD) license in the state of Florida
- Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS/ACLS certification required
- Airway Management Course required
- Prior clinical experience in general dentistry preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during clinical procedures
- Manual dexterity for performing dental procedures
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Visual acuity sufficient for detailed clinical work
Florida Compliance & Professional Standards
Must comply with all applicable Florida laws, rules, and professional standards governing dental practice. Must practice within scope of licensure and clinical privileges granted by the practice. Must maintain all required licenses, registrations, certifications, and continuing education. Must follow all Maxion Management and Affiliates policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and standards of conduct. Details regarding compensation structure, scheduling expectations, continuing education (CE), Malpractice and other role-specific terms are governed by the dentist’s separate written employment agreement or contract
