Adjunct Faculty Position: College Algebra


The Mathematics Department at Covenant College invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach Accelerated College Algebra in Fall 2026.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach an undergraduate course on college algebra in the context of a Christian perspective
  • Plan lessons and assignments, provide effective instruction, grade assignments, respond to student inquiries, and submit final grades
  • Support retention efforts through early identification of students who are struggling, offering students the needed academic support, and providing positive encouragement

Qualifications:

  • An appreciation and understanding of the mission of Covenant College
  • An M.S. or higher in mathematics (or a related field), or completion of at least 9 hours of graduate mathematics courses from an accredited institution
  • A demonstrated record of experience teaching algebra at the college or high school level
