Diesel Road Service Technician B or C Level
Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA
Schedule: Rotating on-call, full-time weekday schedule
Compensation: $25–$35/hr (Depending on Experience) + On-Call Bonus Opportunities

Position Summary
Promotive is hiring B and C Level Heavy-Duty Diesel Road Service Technicians for a top-performing fleet service provider in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
This is a hands-on mobile role for mid-level technicians with strong mechanical skills and a desire to work independently on emergency roadside calls. Enjoy working on a wide variety of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, with full access to state-of-the-art mobile tools, diagnostics, and parts inventory.
If you've got 2–3+ years of experience and a valid PA State Inspection License, this is your chance to grow with one of Pennsylvania's leading full-service fleet shops.
Key Responsibilities
Perform light-to-moderate roadside diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers
Handle emergency issues including air leaks, lighting problems, brake chamber failures, and fuel system concerns
Use mobile diagnostics equipment such as Pro-Link ECM scanner and Diesel Laptops
Restock fluids and parts (e.g. DPF fluid, oil, filters, brake components) as needed for roadside service
Maintain a professional, calm, and efficient presence during on-call roadside assistance
Rotate into on-call schedule with other techs; respond to breakdowns on major interstates in the Philadelphia area
Mentor less experienced technicians and lead by example in field performance
Communicate clearly with dispatch and service team
Qualifications
2–3+ years of experience as a diesel technician or mobile truck/trailer mechanic
PA State Inspection License (REQUIRED) – candidates without this will not be interviewed / screened
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (must drive company service truck)
Calm, steady demeanor with strong problem-solving skills
Self-starter who can work independently in the field
Must be comfortable working outdoors and on-call as part of a rotating schedule
Leadership mindset and ability to assist younger techs
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay: $25–$35/hour depending on experience and certifications
