Seeking an experienced Dental CAD Designer with deep expertise in 3Shape

  • Key responsibilities
    • Design monolithic zirconia restorations, layered substructures, and multi-unit bridges using 3Shape.
    • Perform scan cleanup, digital morphing, margin refinement, and occlusal adjustments to ensure optimal fit and function.
    • Prepare and manage digital files (STL, PLY, native 3Shape formats) for milling and 3D printing, including nesting and support placement where required.
    • Validate design parameters against material-specific tolerances and production constraints to minimize remakes and adjustments.
    • Perform quality checks on digital designs and finished outputs to ensure marginal integrity, correct emergence profiles, and occlusal relationships.
    • Collaborate with production technicians, restorative clinicians, and lab management to resolve clinical and technical issues and improve workflows.
    • Maintain accurate digital records and follow laboratory quality management procedures and infection-control policies.
  • Required qualifications
    • Demonstrated experience designing fixed prosthetic restorations using 3Shape in a dental laboratory or clinical setting.
    • Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, margin design, and restorative material behavior (including zirconia systems).
    • Familiarity with digital production workflows, including CAM preparation, milling, sintering, and SLA/DLP printing considerations.
    • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work within schedule and quality targets.
  • Preferred qualifications
    • Experience with laboratory quality systems, digital case management, and integration with intraoral scans and CBCT-derived data.
    • Prior exposure to multiple CAD platforms and CAM toolchains, with a focus on optimizing designs for high-throughput production.
  • Compensation & benefits
    • Competitive compensation, full benefits, and relocation support as applicable.
