THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a seasoned and self-motivated Low Voltage Access Control Technician to anchor our field operations. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional with a strong security systems background who thrives on technical challenge and independence. You will operate as a trusted expert, ensuring the reliable performance of complex security and access systems across your dedicated service area.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and all necessary tools, eliminating wear and tear on your personal equipment and ensuring maximum efficiency.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Low Voltage Expert, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our low-voltage systems:
Installation & Integration: Install, program, and commission new access control panels, telephone entry units, and gate operators, ensuring seamless system integration.
CCTV Management: Set up, configure, and maintain IP and analog CCTV camera systems, optimizing video quality and networking components.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex hardware, wiring, and network faults within existing low-voltage and access systems efficiently in the field.
Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for property managers and residents, providing professional, clear communication regarding service progress and solutions.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous service records, system diagrams, and documentation using company protocols.
Quality & Safety: Ensure all work adheres strictly to local codes, company quality standards, and safety regulations.
A company provided vehicle, and all specialized tools will be provided (details provided upon offer). Able offers a strong work-life balance and all work is strictly local Metro Atlanta service area. No overnights, no out-of-state travel.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in the low-voltage, physical security, or access control industry.
Technical Mastery: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of gated entry systems (e.g., Doorking, Linear, HySecurity), various CCTV platforms, and modern access control hardware.
Diagnostic Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals for quick and accurate fault resolution.
Professionalism: A reliable, professional demeanor and the ability to work autonomously and manage a service route effectively.
