Job Description: IT Facilitator
Overview
The IT Facilitator is an onsite, hands-on technology support professional focused on in-person training and real-time assistance for attorneys and staff. This role emphasizes face-to-face support, technology facilitation, and user education rather than traditional ticket-based help desk work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with end users, leading training sessions, and troubleshooting technology issues as they arise—particularly in conference room and meeting environments.
Location & Work Environment
• 100% onsite role based in Virginia Beach, VA
• Occasional weekly travel to additional office locations (Chesapeake and Suffolk)
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel
• Business professional / business casual dress code (no denim)
• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break
Key Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on, in-person IT support to attorneys and staff
• Conduct one-on-one and small group technology training sessions
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time technology issues, including conference room and meeting support
• Serve as a point-of-contact for day-to-day technology needs and user assistance
• Support approximately 80 employees
• Travel weekly to additional office locations to provide onsite IT support
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, professional services environment
• Ability to troubleshoot technology issues in real time
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience supporting a law firm or professional services environment (preferred, not required)
Certifications & Technology Experience
• Carpe Diem – Timekeeping system
• PerfectLaw – Accounting system (integrated with Carpe Diem)
• NetDocuments – Document management system
• Microsoft Office Suite
