Required 3-5 years exp Scrub assist
\n 3-12 twelve-hour shifts or 4-10 hour shift with ONCALL every 4th weekend and 1 day per weekDuties:
• Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
\n • Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
\n • The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
\n • The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
\n • The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
\n • Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
\n • The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
\n • Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
\n • Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
\n • Groin management post intervention
\n • Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
\n • BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
\n • Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
\n • This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
