The Quality Control Lead is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet Amphenol Energy Technologies (AET) and customer quality standards. This role provides daily guidance to QC Inspectors, serves as the primary quality contact for internal stakeholders, and supports audits and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a strong Quality Management System.

Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection methods and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems.
- Solid math and measurement skills.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (Class 2 or Class 3) - Required.
- QA/QC training preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of quality inspection or manufacturing quality experience.
- Experience in cable assembly, electromechanical assembly, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and gauges.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide daily direction, support, and prioritization to QC Inspectors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Planning, Customer Service, Production, and Management regarding quality matters.
- Approve incoming materials through visual and dimensional inspection in accordance with specifications and AQL standards.
- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with drawings, workmanship standards, and customer requirements.
- Verify operators are using correct work orders, SOPs, and drawing revisions.
- Review and complete Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and customer documentation.
- Generate and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
- Segregate, document, and disposition nonconforming and suspicious materials.
- Perform inventory inspection, sorting, and rework verification as required.
- Verify inspection and measurement equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
- Request repairs or recalibration of equipment when needed.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Train and support new QC Inspectors and assembly operators on quality standards and procedures.
- Analyze quality data, scrap, and rework trends to support continuous improvement.
- Inspect customer returns (RMAs) and support root cause and corrective action activities.
- Maintain accurate quality records, logs, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality and operational objectives.
Physical / Environmental Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel objects.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment.
