Job Summary
The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will join a growing litigation team focused on medical malpractice defense and long-term care facility matters. This role is ideal for an attorney with solid civil litigation experience who is ready to manage cases with increasing independence while working closely with experienced partners. Success in this role requires strong advocacy skills, sound judgment, and a desire to grow within a supportive, high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and status reports with minimal supervision
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Conduct legal research and draft clear, persuasive memoranda
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners, clients, and experts
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with clients regarding case status and strategy
  • Meet all court deadlines and maintain organized, well-documented files
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
  • 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience practicing in Massachusetts state and federal courts
  • Proven experience taking and defending depositions and managing discovery
  • Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills
  • Self-motivated attorney with sound judgment and strong advocacy abilities
