Job Title: Licensed Tradesman Plumber

Reports To: Licensed Journeyman Plumber / Plumbing Supervisor
Job Summary
The Tradesman Plumber supports licensed plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and light commercial settings. This role is ideal for an individual actively progressing toward a Journeyman Plumber license in the State of Texas and gaining hands-on field experience under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Installation & Repair
- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances
- Perform rough-in and trim-out work for residential and light commercial projects
- Repair leaks, clogs, valves, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and sewer components
- Assist with testing plumbing systems for proper operation and code compliance
Jobsite & Technical Support
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools
- Properly stage materials and tools to support efficient workflow
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Compliance & Safety
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber as required by Texas law
- Follow all local plumbing codes, state regulations, and company safety policies
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to OSHA safety standards
Customer & Team Interaction
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Represent the company positively at all times
- Assist in explaining basic plumbing issues to customers when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Tradesman Plumber registration in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor
- Basic understanding of plumbing tools, materials, and techniques
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of residential or commercial plumbing experience
- Familiarity with Central Texas plumbing systems (slab foundations, hard water, sewer laterals)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Work Environment
- Outdoor and indoor job sites in varying weather conditions
- Residential homes, commercial buildings, and construction sites
- Typical schedule may include early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends

- Experienced or Specialized Plumbers: $31+ / hour — highly experienced journeymen or plumbers with specialty skills, commercial service background, or supervisory responsibilities.
Annual Earnings (Approximate):
- Tradesman Plumber / Helper (full time): $38,000 – $58,000/year — depending on experience and hours.
