Position Overview

As an Assistant Branch Manager at Masterson Staffing Solutions (Masterson), you will support the Branch Manager in overseeing branch operations and recruitment functions while actively managing a high-volume candidate pipeline. You will play a key role in executing staffing strategies, supporting internal staff, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This position requires a strong blend of leadership, operational support, and hands-on recruiting. It also requires working a minimum of five (5) days per week, with potential overtime based on client demand.


Essential Job Functions

Branch Operations & Leadership Support

· Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure efficiency, productivity, and superior customer service.

· Support scheduling, training, and ongoing development of internal staff under the direction of the Branch Manager.

· Step in as acting Branch Manager when required to maintain business continuity.

· Help lead internal staff meetings, performance discussions, and goal planning to drive team results.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment that reflects company standards.


Recruitment & Candidate Management

· Manage a high-volume recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates.

· Conduct a high volume of outbound recruiting calls (goal: 100 calls/day) and leverage job boards, social media, referrals, and the internal database to attract talent.

· Oversee and manage applicant flow, onboarding, and placement process to ensure timely and accurate hiring in accordance with state and federal law and Masterson Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Make discretionary decisions on candidate placements and resolve escalated recruitment matters.



Client & Employee Relations

· Collaborate with clients and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide customized recruiting solutions.

· Build and maintain strong client relationships through check-ins, site visits, and consistent service delivery.

· Monitor candidate attendance and performance; administer coaching or disciplinary actions in accordance with company SOPs.

· Represent the branch and company in a professional and solution-focused manner with clients and candidates.


Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure full compliance with the Form I-9 and E-Verify processes per US Citizenship and Immigration Services requirements.

· Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and company regulations in all branch processes.

· Administer and ensure compliance in all Placement procedures, background checks, drug screenings, and orientations.

· Conduct thorough audits of all branch placements to ensure accuracy, quality, and full compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

· Participate in the Company Training Program and pass all required assessments.


Issue Resolution & Incident Reporting

· Communicate any employment law concerns or requests for information from outside sources including Client related issues such as OSHA or ISO audits to executive management.

· Handle and escalate candidate and client issues as appropriate, ensuring resolution aligns with Masterson’s policies and legal standards.

· Report all workplace incidents, including harassment, discrimination, or safety concerns, to the Branch or Area Manager immediately.

· Assist with workers’ compensation claim documentation and follow-up as needed.

Qualifications


Required

· High School Diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education preferred.

· 1+ years of leadership experience.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.

· Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).

· Must have the flexibility to work hours dictated by client needs and remain until all open orders are filled in accordance with Masterson Staffing Solutions SOP.

· Valid Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle during work hours.
