Job Overview:
Sales Professionals at Leslie’s help customers find the perfect pool and spa products, creating excitement for families to enjoy their backyard investments. No industry experience is required—we provide full training on everything you need to succeed. In addition to sales, team members assist with testing pool and spa water, preparing and servicing customer orders, and supporting daily store operations, including stocking and inventory.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 / Hourly
Responsibilities:
- Sell all products by understanding their features, benefits, and characteristics.
- Complete all training programs promptly and thoroughly.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting with purchases, returns, and inquiries.
- Build rapport with customers and qualify their needs to recommend solutions.
- Strive to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
- Test water at the water test station accurately.
- Assist customers with carrying products as needed.
- Collaborate as a team player to support store operations.
- Apply basic business math and percentages in daily tasks.
- Use proper grammar and spelling in written communication and notes.
- Continuously develop product knowledge, sales skills, and procedural proficiency.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships to drive referrals and positive reviews.
- Handle customer care situations calmly, professionally, and with win-win solutions.
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain a professional appearance.
- Update signage and shelf tags as directed.
- Assist the General Manager with approved social media content for marketing growth.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and in top operating condition at all times.
- Ensure stock areas are orderly, accessible, and easy to navigate.
- Monitor inventory and follow POS system guidelines for accurate control.
Qualifications:
- One or more years of sales experience
- Salesmanship skills - Understand the selling process and customer engagement as it is related to sales - strong sales ability
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to consolidate the sale and walk the customer through every stage of the deal, and close sales
- Understanding of sales related calculations / math
- Ability to operate basic business software, emails and Google Drive
- The ability to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds. The ability to move products upwards of 100 or more pounds with proper carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other merchandise movement tools that are available in the stores.
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Ability to distinguish between colors
- Have at least a High School diploma or equivalent
