Role Purpose
UFIT delivers structured recess, physical education, and sports-based youth development programs across schools. We exist to expand access to high-quality physical education, create safe and inspiring sports environments, and use sports as a bridge to confidence, leadership, and college pathways for students—especially in communities that need it most.
We are seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator who is highly organized, systems-driven, and passionate about building clear, scalable training programs to manage training systems, onboarding, professional development, and compliance-related learning across our team. This role plays a direct part in ensuring every student experiences safe, high-quality, and consistent programming by building the systems that train, support, and develop our teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing staff
- Manage training calendars, schedules, and attendance tracking
- Maintain and update training materials, SOPs, manuals, and learning resources
- Support development and rollout of role-based training pathways (coaches, supervisors, admin, etc.)
- Track training completion, certifications, and compliance requirements
- Work with leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs
- Administer learning platforms (LMS, Google Workspace, shared drives, etc.)
- Assist in creating assessments, evaluations, and performance improvement plans
- Ensure training documentation is accurate, organized, and audit-ready
- Support professional development workshops, meetings, and in-service sessions
- Generate basic reports on training completion, progress, and outcomes
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in training coordination, HR, L&D, operations, or program management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms, Calendar)
- Ability to manage multiple timelines, sites, and staff groups
- Experience in education, youth programs, healthcare, or service-based organizations strongly preferred
- Must pass Megan’s Law check, drug test, and background check.
- Current TB clearance.
- Live Scan background check (at candidate’s expense).
Strongly Preferred
- Experience building or managing onboarding systems and SOPs
- Experience tracking compliance, certifications, or staff credentials
- Experience working with coaches, teachers, or field staff
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training portals
- Background in K-12, youth development, sports, or education services
